Filler Before and After
These before + afters are a perfect example of what we aim for with hyaluronic acid filler in the nasolabial folds and marionette lines… a result that looks like you, just more refreshed.
(For reference: the nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the sides of your nose down to the corners of your mouth, and the marionette lines are the lines that extend downward from the corners of the mouth toward the chin.)
As we age, we don’t just develop lines—we lose volume and structural support in the mid and lower face. That’s what creates the fold from the nose to the mouth and the downward pull at the corners of the lips.
By strategically placing a small amount of hyaluronic acid filler, we’re able to:
• restore subtle volume
• support the surrounding tissue
• soften the appearance of folds and shadows
#not erase expression, and not overfill.
The goal is never to make it obvious. In fact, if you “can hardly tell,” that usually means it’s done right.
And one important note, this area is not typically treated with neurotoxins like Botox. Botox relaxes muscle movement, while these lines are primarily caused by volume loss and tissue descent… which is why filler is often the more effective, natural-looking solution here.
At Annapolis Aesthetics, we’re known for results that don’t announce themselves… they just make you look well-rested, lifted, and like yourself again.
If you’ve been curious about subtle, natural rejuvenation, this is one of our favorite places to start.
